The arrival of Live TaxiEpay into the Australian market in 2008 has served to shake things up in the taxi industry and bring with it a new era in taxi payments and much sought after industry change, competition and service.

Today Live Group proved its commitment to the taxi industry by launching its first full service Car Wash facility at its Sydney drivers' lounge in Waterloo. Just another way Live Group delivers more back to those that really matter, the taxi drivers and operators. Live TaxiEpay members can qualify for free washes just by using their Live TaxiEpay terminal which could save the average driver around $850 per year.

Non-members can also purchase car washes at heavily discounted prices. The car wash also allows Live TaxiEpay to extend its docket exchange hours which provides more convenient cashing services for our night drivers.

Live TaxiEpay is the alternative EFTPOS terminal provider in the market and is dedicated to delivering outstanding service and support to taxi drivers as well as providing a direct boost to their income.

Combine this with free services such as the car wash and comfortable lounge facilities, and it's easy to see that Live TaxiEpay improves the quality of life for drivers in Sydney and throughout Australia.

The Live Car Wash site is well positioned for taxi drivers coming to and from the airport and is sure to provide a welcome relief from the daily stresses of being a taxi driver. All drivers are invited to come and exchange their dockets, get their free EFTPOS, enjoy a free coffee or simply sit back and watch Foxtel while the Live Car Wash team services your car.

Today the launch was celebrated with a BBQ lunch for drivers including prizes and giveaways and the turnout was fantastic.

CEO Tom Varga said "We are in a tough economic climate at the moment and the taxi drivers are one of the first to feel the downward pressure. I have heard from so many drivers and operators that it is tougher out there compared to last year and with more taxis on the road it is just that little harder to make money. Live TaxiEpay has listened and decided to give back $832 per year to the average driver. Simply have a Live TaxiEpay terminal, use it regularly and save cash straight into your pocket. Again Live TaxiEpay finds a way to deliver more value to drivers and ensure they take home more cash for their family and bills."

All drivers are welcome to visit Live Car Wash, open nights 9pm-4:30am Sunday to Thursday at 1053 Bourke St Waterloo. Private cars also welcome.
