World’s first Automatic Pizza Machine has arrived in Australia!Thursday 6th December 2007 | 7:57 AM« Back to ListingAustralians love their pizza, and they will now be able to buy it 24 hours a day with the national launch in Adelaide this Friday of Wonder Pizza, the world’s first automatic pizza vending machine. The machines are able to dispense a hot, tasty, 9 inch fresh and crispy Italian pizza in just 90 seconds, making Wonder Pizza the fastest fast food in the world. The pizzas are cooked in a high intensity ceramic oven and not microwaved, are fresh and not frozen, and produced from local South Australian produce. Official Launch A pilot program for the machines has been under way in Adelaide for the past nine months, with more than 40 machines in place in UniSA sites, SAFF petrol stations, Liberty petrol stations, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, selected pubs and video store chains including Video Ezy. Video footage of the Wonder Pizza machine can be found at http://www.urtextfilms.com/wpizza.wmv. Each Wonder Pizza machine has its own computer connected via broadband to a central server which provides real-time management of stock levels, sales trends, service and maintenance. The entire Wonder Pizza network is driven by state-of-the-art technology developed in South Australia called Ecotrack, which is revolutionising the management of vending machines worldwide. Wonder Pizza is a trademark and concept protected by international and Australian patents, which originated in Italy nine years ago. Peter Hubbard, National Operations Manager, has only recently returned from Italy where he was privy to the vast R&D enhancements being made on the unit. “Society’s biggest problem these days is finding more time, and it is such a fantastic business at Wonder Pizza to be serving our customers with a quality freshly cooked pizza at a time when they want a pizza, not relying on when the shops are open, and not relying on waiting in a line for 20 minutes,” he said. “Wonder Pizza delivers a great tasting pizza under 90 seconds and is available throughout Adelaide. We are in the process of rolling out nationally and expect to have over 500 units in the marketplace in the next six months, such is the interest from the Eastern Seaboard.” Therese Bonomi, the National Marketing Manager adds, “We are being inundated with enquiries from investors locally and abroad for our Ecotrack IT systems and our APMs, such is the excitement of this new distribution channel for delivering pizzas. This is a unique business proposition which is protected by patents and we are mindful of offering excellent service to our client partners and also to our end consumers. We also welcome any further enquiries through our website, www.wonderpizza.com.au”. Wonder Pizza is also now installing 106cm plasma screens on all its APMs to further educate the public on its processes and also to use them as advertising mediums. “Globally, Wonder Pizza has received substantial media coverage for the Automatic Pizza Machine,” Ms Bonomi said. “In Australia, it is a world first for a plasma screen to be outfitted on a vending machine and a world first for Ecotrack.” For a global media perspective, please go to www.wonderpizzausa.com.
