Cupid's Delight, a renowned market leader in the creation of couture cakes has joined forces with their sponsor Koro Fine Australian Jewellery to create "The Most Valuable Cake in the World" and is set to break a new Guinness World Record. The cake is estimated at a value of over AUD$3 million and will showcase an array of beautiful diamonds, gems and pearls provided by Koro Fine Australian Jewellery. It will be uniquely designed and crafted by the team at Cupid's Delight. It's estimated weight will be 80kg and will be decorated with the stunning diamonds on the outside. The inside of the cake is made from the finest quality ingredients to produce a rich, dark and decadent chocolate fruit cake. Both companies, based in Perth, Western Australia are set to show the world that the City of Lights will shine with the exquisite creation. The cake will have an array of beautiful loose diamonds, pink diamonds, coloured gems including sapphire and tourmaline and Broome and Tahitian pearls. Cupid's Delight has an outstanding team of cake artists and the idea of creating the most valuable cake in the world stemmed from the founder of the company Julia Pergoliti. "We wanted to create an exquisite cake that would capture a timeless piece of art. Myself and my team have always been passionate about the art of cake decorating and would like to showcase our talents to the world." Cupid's Delight's recent creations have included cakes for Eamon Sullivan and International Fashion Designer Melanie Greensmith from Wheels and Doll Baby. The cake will be available for purchase. The unveiling of the most valuable cake will take place at a VIP cocktail party to be held on Wednesday 8th October 2008 at Cupid's Delight Cake Gallery.
