BING! Software Pty Ltd has successfully defended it's registered trademark in a Federal Court action held in the Federal Court of Australia at Brisbane and obtained injunctions for infringement.

BING! Software is a highly successful software company based in Townsville, North Queensland that develops, markets and supports software designed to automate document generation with clients Australia wide.

In a Federal Court  judgment handed down in Brisbane, BING! Software was successful in obtaining injunctions against Bing Technologies Pty Ltd to restrain it from using BING! Software's trademark.

Both the respondent company, Bing Technologies and it's managing Director Steven Patrick Cranitch were found to have infringed the trademark registered by BING! Software and injunctions were ordered against both of those parties..

BING! Software's founder Emmanuel Theodosiou said that his company had no option but to commence the litigation to protect it's trademark.

BING! Software had registered it's trademark in accordance with the Trade Marks Act 1995.

Mr Theodosiou said that it was important for Australian companies to take all steps necessary to enforce their rights to protect their intellectual property.

Both Mr Cranitch and Bing Technologies were ordered to pay costs.
