What a novel idea! Book vending machines arrive in AustraliaMonday 23rd March 2009 | 12:05 PM« Back to ListingAt a hospital or an airport and stuck for a good book to read?
Well, that problem is now a thing of the past, thanks to Australian company Novel Vending Australasia, which is set to launch these amazing mini book stores into Australia. These machines have been designed so that consumers with time on their hands at hospitals, airports, hotels or universities can be enticed to purchase a book to fill in time conveniently, 24hours a day, 7 days a week. Hugely successful in the UK, these clever machines allow the consumer to read all about the book, hear interviews with authors and learn about up and coming new releases from a built-in LCD screen and speaker. These unique machines will become 24 hour satellite mini bookshops with very low staff requirements and installation costs virtually making them profitable from day 1. Novel Idea Vending Australasia will be introducing the first of these innovative machines in Sydney on the 1st of April.
John Costello, from Novel Idea Vending UK, creator of this amazing technology, will be in Australia for the official launch. Information about the launch: Where: Cruise Bar - Level 3, Overseas Passenger Terminal, West Circular Quay, Sydney. When: Wednesday 1st of April, 2009 Time: from 4pm
