Unique opportunity for an extended voyage aboard tall ship One & AllThursday 21st January 2010 | 2:22 PM« Back to ListingThe tall ship One & All is offering adventurers a unique opportunity to sail back in time off the spectacular south coast of Australia. The South Australian brigantine is sailing from its home port of Adelaide to Melbourne via Portland in February to be a showpiece of a series of major maritime celebrations. It will participate in the inaugural Melbourne Wooden Boat Festival and Tall Ships Expo, the Geelong Wooden Boat Festival, Williamstown Festival and Portland Festival in February and March. Apart from offering day and twilight sails during the festival celebrations, people can experience life aboard the classic tall ship for the extended voyages from Adelaide to Melbourne and return, or sections of the journey. One & All will sail from Adelaide on 10 February arriving in Portland on 13 February. It will then leave Portland on 15 February arriving in Melbourne on 18 February. It will cost $860 for each leg all-inclusive, or $1,500 for the eight day voyage including accommodation aboard while in Portland. One & All will return from Melbourne to Portland from 23 March to 26 March, and from Portland to Adelaide from 29 March to 2 April, again for $860 on each leg. SA Tall Ships Program Manager, Laura Myer, said the voyages would take in the southern coastline including the picturesque Coorong National Park and historic Shipwreck Coast. "It is a unique opportunity to be part of our sailing heritage, to help hoist the sails and enjoy the romance of voyaging as they did generations ago," Laura said. "While One & All was built along the classic lines of the brigantines of the mid-nineteenth century, she features the most advanced safety, communications and navigations systems. "Anybody who yearns to voyage on a tall ship can come aboard to enjoy the comforts of One & All and the wonders of nature in the ultimate short holiday experience."
