Hannah Foundation Drowning Awareness Campaign - Funraising EventWednesday 24th February 2010 | 3:05 PM« Back to ListingHannah's Foundation is a Queensland-based charity, started by Kat and Andrew Plint after the tragic drowning of their daughter, Hannah Isabella Alyson Grace Plint, in an illegally built pool on October 4, 2007. Andrew Plint said Hannah always wanted to be a baby doctor to save babies, she is doing that now and Hannah's Foundation is her legacy. Aqua Vista Glass is a Queensland-owned and operated company, specialising in frameless glass pool fencing. Owner and Managing Director, Jason Terrill, was keen to partner with Hannah's Foundation. "Any child drowning is a tragedy. Through this partnership, we hope to educate people on pool safety and ultimately prevent young children, or anyone else, from drowning in a backyard pools," Mr Terrill said. "I have two young boys and most of my staff have young families as well so children's safety in and around pools is paramount to all of us at Aqua Vista Glass. "No parent should ever have to go through what Kat and Andrew Plint have endured," he said. The Charity Dinner is the foundation's major fundraiser. It will be hosted by Paul ‘Campo' Campion from 97.3FM and boasts an exciting list of Brisbane's sporting and television personalities. The major Auction item is an Aqua Vista Glass pool fencing package valued at $10,000. Other items of note include golf clubs and a signed, framed Purple Wiggles skivvy.
